Sean Mulvaney, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland and is board certified in Sports Medicine and Pain Medicine. During his entire 31-year military career, he served our nation’s Special Operations community as both a Navy SEAL officer for 9 years and an Army physician in Special Operations for 22 years. He was the first Department of Defense physician to be credentialed in platelet rich plasma and stem cell therapy for repair of musculoskeletal and spine injuries starting in 2008. He is the top authority in the world on the use of stellate ganglion block to treat PTSD and has 8 peer-reviewed papers on this topic. He has an international reputation as an educator of other physicians and pioneered and published on ultrasound-guided techniques. His practice (Regenerative Orthopedics & Sports Medicine) is focused on the repair of musculoskeletal, nerve and spine injuries using regenerative medicine techniques with ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance.
